New Ford Mustang Customizer Offers Chance to Win Your Fantasy Mustang

Ford has just relaunched its popular Mustang Customizer with a host of new features to coincide with the launch of the 2013 Ford Mustang.  The customizer gives Mustang fans a way to personalize their dream pony car and share it with friends and family through social media sites like Facebook, Google+ and Twitter.  Since the special parts and graphics are available off the shelf, customers can order the Mustang just as they designed it from their local Ford dealers.  Or, more likely, they can save the design to use as wallpaper on their computer or submit it to what Ford calls "battle mode" to go head to head with other designs through Facebook.

“Customers love to make Mustang their own, one that suits their taste; this is the perfect way to let them test out their design and imagine what’s possible,” says Jim Owens, Mustang marketing manager. “The interactive aspect also adds a whole new dimension and lets more people get in on the fun.”

What makes this customizer so much fun, compaired to some offered by other car makers, is the sheer depth of design possibilities. Users can choose to customize a Mustang V6, GT, Boss 302 or Shelby GT500.  Accessories include body kits, wheels, decals, grilles and deck lids, along with parts from Ford Racing Performance Parts and Ford Vehicle Personalization.  Throughout the design the vehicle can be viewed from different angles and with different backgrounds.

To add to the excitement, Ford will ultimately pick four of the fantasy Mustangs and build them, as customized, to give away to the lucky designers.

First photos of Kia's new flagship sedan - the K9

The first photos of Kia's new flagship rear wheel drive sedan, the Kia K9, have been released.  The K9 (the Korean market name - the name of the overseas version is yet to be determined) is in the same series as the Optima and Cadenza.

Soon-Nam Lee, Kia's Director of the Overseas Marketing Group, had this to say of the firm's new flagship sedan: "K9 is our first rear-wheel drive large sedan, created without compromise in its design, driving performance and new technologies. K9 sets a whole new level of standards and values in the large sedan segment, and its design will be another Kia demonstration of our brand's power to surprise the world."

The K9 is a beautiful car, but some say it takes one too many styling cues from the BMW 7-series.  What do you think?
