Jerry Seinfeld Gets a Little Help From His Friends in New Internet Car Series

Comedian Jerry Seinfeld, a "car guy" with a special place in his heart for all things Porsche, will soon be starring in a direct-to-web car series called Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.  The series is set to launch July 19th via it's own internet site, and also the digital provider Crackle (including Crackle's YouTube channel).

Based on the trailer, some of the comedian's friends who will be featured riding shotgun include Ricky Gervais, Alec Baldwin, Michael Richards, Colin Quinn and Seinfeld co-creator Larry David.

As anyone who is a fan of  Jay Leno's Garage knows, Seinfeld is not the first comedian with an affinity for cars to play to the internet masses.  Each episode in the Jay Leno series features his love of and opinions on cars.  Without much to go on besides the trailer, it appears, unlike Jay Leno's Garage, Seinfeld's series will be bringing the funny...hence the comedians. All the beautiful classic cars paraded through the trailer for this new web series is enough to have us wanting to see more.

Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee launches at 9pm EDT July 19th.  You can take a test drive of the new series below.

Chevy Trucks Pull Down Building at John Watson Chevrolet

How do you become a bit of an internet sensation while demolishing your car dealership? Well, the folks at John Watson Chevrolet in Ogden, Utah, decided to use four Chevy trucks to pull down part of their building and then posted the video on YouTube. Since then the video has picked up attention from auto sites like Autoblog and Jalopnik, also TheBlaze.com and even the Chevrolet Silverado facebook page.

The walls are coming down at John Watson Chevrolet in preparation for a brand new showroom.

The Standard Examiner reports that Cory Watson, General Sales Manager, anticipates a grand re-opening in August and that service and sales of new and used cars will continue during the construction.  To see more pictures of the demolition visit the John Watson Chevrolet Facebook page.

Easter in November

We've had a lot of talk about Turkeys over on the ZoomAutosUtah.com web site recently, but this morning I found an Easter Egg.  Not the kind you hide in the grass, but those fun little surprises you find in computer programs or websites.  The new Android.com site has its little green robot in the lower left corner of the page waving, juggling and even doing the moonwalk! Try it out by moving your pointer over the little green guy. (Warning:  This appears to work best with Firefox and Chrome browsers.)

Here are some other favorites:

Visit the BMW Mini car site at www.miniusa.com and enter "reverse" into the search box on the main page. When you see a gear shifter appear in the bottom left corner of the page, hold down "Shift" on your keyboard and click the shifter.

Or, go to www.yahoo.com and click the exclamation point in Yahoo! at the top of the page.

If you've found an easter egg that you want to share with others, leave a comment below.
