UVU Auto Expo & Swap Meet to Feature Over 700 Cars

One of the largest car shows in Utah takes place this Saturday, May 19, from 7 a.m - 5 p.m. at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi.   The UVU Auto Expo and Swap Meet will have more than 700 cars on display and is expected to draw more than 12,000 people to Thanksgiving Point.   This year's event is the 25th anniversary of the car show and swap meet.  Proceeds from the event benefit students in the Department of Automotive Technology at Utah Valley University.

This year there will be some really special vehicles on display including the Batmobile (from the 1989 movie Batman starring Michael Keaton in the lead and Jack Nicholson as The Joker) and the 1964 Cadillac Coupe DeVille customized by Kindig-it Design for Olympic champion Apolo Anton Ohno.  Also on display will be the Bonneville Salt Flats racer known as the "City Of Salt Lake".

This year's event will also feature special guest Dennis Gage from the TV show My Classic Car on the Speed channel.

Admission to the car show is $5 per person with children under 5 admitted for free.

UVU is also sponsoring an automotive swap meet at Thanksgiving Point (admission is free) from noon - 4 p.m. on Friday, May 18 and 7 a.m - 4 p.m. on Saturday.
